Artist
Sirenia are a Norwegian gothic and symphonic metal band founded in 2001 by guitarist, songwriter and vocalist Morten Veland after his departure from Tristania. Their early albums include At Sixes and Sevens and An Elixir for Existence, while Nine Destinies and a Downfall produced the songs “My Mind’s Eye” and “The Other Side.” The 2004 Gothic Metal Tour took Sirenia across Europe with Tiamat, Theatre of Tragedy and Pain. Later tours extended into Latin America, while festival appearances included Metal Female Voices Fest in Belgium and Wacken Open Air in Germany.
