About Skank
Skank is a Brazilian rock band formed in Belo Horizonte in 1991. The group plays pop rock shaped by reggae and Brazilian popular music, and is known for the albums Calango and O Samba Poconé, as well as songs including “Garota Nacional,” “Resposta,” “Vou Deixar” and “Sutilmente.”
In 2010, the band recorded the hometown-stadium concert released as Multishow Ao Vivo: Skank no Mineirão, and a year later it performed at Rock in Rio. Its pandemic-delayed farewell run ended in 2023 at that stadium as the final concert of the Turnê da Despedida.
