Slaughter to Prevail are a Russian deathcore band formed in Yekaterinburg in 2014 by vocalist Alex Terrible and guitarist Jack Simmons. Their catalog pairs low-tuned riffs and breakdowns with extreme guttural vocals, particularly on the albums Misery Sermon and Kostolom. “Demolisher,” “Baba Yaga” and “Viking” are among their best-known songs. In 2022, Slaughter to Prevail undertook their first North American headline tour. They later moved into arena headline shows, including a concert at OVO Arena Wembley in London. The group performs as a full metal band led by Alex Terrible. Its members often take the stage in the distinctive masks associated with the band. They have performed at Download Festival in England and Hellfest in France. Their festival history also includes Belgium’s Graspop Metal Meeting.
