SoDown & Manic Focus in Los Angeles

SoDown is the stage name of American electronic producer and saxophonist Ehren Wright, a Denver artist whose music draws on dubstep, funk and downtempo bass. He is known for tracks including “Get Up,” “Tension” and “Cliffs,” as well as the album Worlds Beyond. SoDown has performed at Red Rocks Amphitheatre, incorporating live saxophone into his bass-focused DJ set. He later took the album on the Worlds Beyond Tour and has also played festivals including Electric Forest and Shambhala.

Manic Focus is the electronic music project of American producer John McCarten, a Minnesota native who developed the act in Chicago. His music draws on funk, soul, hip-hop and bass music, heard across albums including Cerebral Eclipse, Minds Rising and Lost in a Digital World. He also recorded “Life Goes On” with GRiZ. Manic Focus has performed at Bonnaroo and Lollapalooza, and the project’s festival history includes multiple appearances at Electric Forest. His touring has also taken him through headline club and theatre dates across the United States. His performances have included solo electronic sets and the expanded Manic Focus Live band format. The project has also appeared at Suwannee Hulaween and Summer Camp Music Festival.
