Soen & Tribulation in Toulouse

Soen is a Swedish progressive metal band formed in Stockholm in 2004 by drummer Martin Lopez. The group introduced its measured rhythms and melodic, heavy songwriting on the debut album Cognitive, then developed that sound across records including Lykaia, Lotus, Imperial and Memorial. “Lotus,” “Martyrs” and “Illusion” are among its best-known songs. In 2021, Soen filmed and recorded Atlantis at Atlantis Grammofon in Stockholm, revisiting material from across its catalogue with additional orchestral musicians. The Imperial European Tour followed in 2022, and the band returned to European venues on the Memorial Tour in 2023, supported by Molybaron and Terra.

Tribulation are a Swedish metal band formed in Arvika in 2005. Their early records, including the debut album The Horror, drew on old-school death metal; later releases such as The Formulas of Death, Children of the Night and Down Below brought gothic rock and traditional heavy metal into their sound. In 2015, Tribulation toured North America with Behemoth, Cannibal Corpse and Aeon. They returned to the region the following year as support for Deafheaven, extending a live history built in metal clubs, theatres and festivals beyond Sweden.
