About Soen
Soen is a Swedish progressive metal band formed in Stockholm in 2004 by drummer Martin Lopez. The group introduced its measured rhythms and melodic, heavy songwriting on the debut album Cognitive, then developed that sound across records including Lykaia, Lotus, Imperial and Memorial. “Lotus,” “Martyrs” and “Illusion” are among its best-known songs.
In 2021, Soen filmed and recorded Atlantis at Atlantis Grammofon in Stockholm, revisiting material from across its catalogue with additional orchestral musicians. The Imperial European Tour followed in 2022, and the band returned to European venues on the Memorial Tour in 2023, supported by Molybaron and Terra.
