Söhne Mannheims in Heppenheim an der Bergstrasse

Söhne Mannheims are a German music collective formed in Mannheim in 1995. Their songs draw on soul, pop, hip-hop and rock, often using multiple vocalists and German-language lyrics. The group established its sound on the albums Zion and Noiz, and is known for songs including “Geh davon aus,” “Und wenn ein Lied” and “Das hat die Welt noch nicht gesehen.” Power of the Sound documented the ensemble’s concert work in 2005. Three years later, the group and former member Xavier Naidoo recorded the joint MTV Unplugged project Wettsingen in Schwetzingen, using acoustic arrangements in the Rokokotheater at Schwetzingen Palace.
