Sorriso Maroto is a Brazilian pagode group formed in 1997 in Grajaú, Rio de Janeiro. Led by vocalist Bruno Cardoso, the band became known for romantic samba and pagode songs including “Ainda Gosto de Você,” “Sinais,” “Futuro Prometido” and “Assim Você Mata o Papai,” as well as albums such as Sinais and Riscos e Certezas. In 2012, the group marked its 15th anniversary with a concert at Quinta da Boa Vista, recorded for Sorriso 15 Anos. It later made Sorriso Eu Gosto – Ao Vivo no Maracanãzinho as a guest-filled pagode concert and developed As Antigas into a recurring live project built around songs from its earlier catalogue.
