Soulwax in Portland

Soulwax is a Belgian electronic-rock band formed in Ghent in 1995 by brothers David and Stephen Dewaele. Their catalog includes the albums Much Against Everyone’s Advice, Any Minute Now and Nite Versions, as well as tracks such as “NY Excuse” and “E Talking.” The brothers also perform and release mash-up mixes as 2manydjs. The Nite Versions live show took the 2005 album’s dance-oriented reworkings on tour. The 2008 concert film Part of the Weekend Never Dies documented that period on the road, while performances around From Deewee in 2017 placed David and Stephen Dewaele at the center of a live band featuring three drummers. The group has performed at England’s Glastonbury Festival and at Coachella in California.
