Spacehog is an English alternative-rock band formed in New York City in 1994 by musicians from Leeds. Their glam-rock-influenced debut album, Resident Alien, produced the single “In the Meantime”; later records include The Chinese Album, The Hogyssey and As It Is on Earth. Spacehog reunited for live performances in 2008 and later returned to the road following As It Is on Earth. In 2014, they joined Everclear, Soul Asylum and Eve 6 on the Summerland tour.
Fastball is an American rock band formed in Austin, Texas, in 1995. The trio of Tony Scalzo, Miles Zuniga and Joey Shuffield became known through the 1998 album All the Pain Money Can Buy and its songs “The Way,” “Out of My Head” and “Fire Escape.” Their music pairs alternative rock and power pop with concise, melody-led songwriting. Fastball joined the 1998 H.O.R.D.E. tour during the success of All the Pain Money Can Buy. They later opened for Sting on dates of the Brand New Day Tour.
