Sparta in Nottingham

Sparta is an American post-hardcore band formed in El Paso in 2001 by former members of At the Drive-In. The group established its sound on the debut album Wiretap Scars, which includes “Cut Your Ribbon” and “Air,” and followed it with Porcelain, Threes and Trust the River. In 2003, Sparta opened selected concerts for Pearl Jam during the touring cycle behind Riot Act. After a hiatus, the band returned to performing in 2012, beginning with a hometown show at Tricky Falls in El Paso.
