Artist
Spiderbait are an Australian alternative rock trio formed in Finley, New South Wales, in 1989. Drummer and vocalist Kram, bassist and vocalist Janet English, and guitarist Damian Whitty are known for songs including “Buy Me a Pony,” “Calypso” and their version of “Black Betty,” as well as the albums Ivy and the Big Apples and Tonight Alright. Spiderbait played multiple editions of Big Day Out during the 1990s and 2000s. The 2017 Ivy and the Big Apples 20th Anniversary Tour featured the album performed in full. After appearing at Good Things in 2022, the trio marked two decades since their recording of “Black Betty” with the 2024 Black Betty 20th Anniversary Tour.
