Sportfreunde Stiller in Bremen

Sportfreunde Stiller are a German rock trio formed in Germering in 1996. Peter Brugger, Rüdiger Linhof and Florian Weber play guitar-led indie rock and pop rock, and the band is known for songs including “Ein Kompliment,” “Applaus, Applaus” and the football anthem “’54, ’74, ’90, 2006,” as well as the albums Die gute Seite and Burli. The 2009 concert MTV Unplugged in New York was recorded on a street set at Bavaria Filmstadt near Munich and presented the band’s catalogue in acoustic arrangements. Udo Jürgens and The Subways joined them as guests for that performance. Sportfreunde Stiller have also performed at Rock am Ring and Rock im Park.
