Squirrel Nut Zippers in Sellersville

Squirrel Nut Zippers are an American band formed in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, in 1993. Their music draws on swing, jazz, blues and early American popular music. They became widely known through the album Hot and the songs “Hell” and “Put a Lid on It.” The band performed at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta and at President Bill Clinton’s second inaugural ball the following year. After a hiatus, they reunited for concerts in 2007, and later touring lineups have been led by co-founder Jimbo Mathus.
