Sr. Chinarro in Valencia

Sr. Chinarro is the Spanish indie-pop and rock project led by Seville songwriter Antonio Luque, formed in 1990. Luque’s literate, often dryly comic Spanish-language writing runs through albums such as El porqué de mis peinados, El fuego amigo and Ronroneando, as well as songs including “Del montón” and “Los ángeles.” Since the 1990s, Sr. Chinarro has toured Spanish clubs and theatres, with Luque singing and playing guitar alongside a changing backing band. The project has also performed at Festival Internacional de Benicàssim and Barcelona’s Primavera Sound.
