Starsailor in Utrecht

Starsailor are a British alternative rock band formed in Wigan in 2000, led by singer, guitarist and pianist James Walsh. Their debut album, Love Is Here, established their guitar-and-piano sound through songs including “Good Souls,” “Alcoholic” and “Poor Misguided Fool”; later releases produced “Silence Is Easy” and “Four to the Floor.” Starsailor toured Britain and North America behind Love Is Here and Silence Is Easy, while their festival appearances included Glastonbury. In 2006 they opened selected European dates for the Rolling Stones, before taking a hiatus at the end of the decade. The band returned to live work in 2014 and performed with James at Summer in the City at Manchester’s Castlefield Bowl.
