State Radio is an American rock band formed in 2002 in Sherborn, Massachusetts, by Chad Urmston after the dissolution of his previous group, Dispatch. Based in Boston, the band plays alternative and indie rock shaped by roots reggae, punk and jam-band elements, often addressing social and political issues. Its releases include the Flag of the Shiners EP and the albums Us Against the Crown, Year of the Crow, Let It Go and Rabbit Inn Rebellion. In 2004, State Radio returned to touring and recording after a temporary hiatus, then toured in support of Us Against the Crown. During the Year of the Crow tour, the group organized service projects in every city it visited.
