Steppenwolf Tickets & 2026–2027 Tour Dates

Steppenwolf is an American rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1967 around singer John Kay. Its hard-edged mix of blues rock and psychedelia became known through “Born to Be Wild,” “Magic Carpet Ride” and “The Pusher,” while the albums Steppenwolf and The Second established the group’s core repertoire.

Steppenwolf recorded the concert album Steppenwolf Live at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium during the tour behind Monster. After the original group disbanded, Kay returned to the road under the name John Kay & Steppenwolf and toured for decades before giving the act’s final performance in 2018 at the Gallo Center for the Arts in Modesto.
