Steve Tyrell is an American jazz and pop singer and record producer, born in Houston in 1944. He became widely known as a vocalist through his recording of “The Way You Look Tonight” for the film Father of the Bride. His albums, including A New Standard and This Guy’s in Love, draw primarily on the Great American Songbook and classic pop standards.

In 2005, Steve Tyrell took over Café Carlyle’s annual holiday engagement after Bobby Short, beginning a long-running New York residency. His club appearances have also included repeated engagements at Catalina Bar & Grill in Los Angeles.
