Steven Adler in Des Plaines

Steven Adler is an American rock drummer, born in Cleveland in 1965 and raised in Los Angeles. He is best known as the original drummer of Guns N’ Roses, whose early recordings paired hard rock with punk energy. His playing appears on Appetite for Destruction and G N’ R Lies, including “Welcome to the Jungle,” “Sweet Child o’ Mine” and “Paradise City.” The Appetite for Destruction Tour took Adler around the world with Guns N’ Roses in 1987 and 1988, including headline dates and concerts supporting Aerosmith. He later led Adler’s Appetite, performing material from the album that established his drumming style. In 2016, he returned as a guest during the Not in This Lifetime... Tour, playing “Out ta Get Me” and “My Michelle” at shows in Cincinnati and Nashville.
