About Stratovarius
Stratovarius are a Finnish power-metal band formed in Helsinki in 1984. They became known for melodic, keyboard-led metal through albums including Episode, Visions, Destiny and Infinite, and songs such as “Black Diamond,” “Hunting High and Low” and “Forever.”
Performances in Athens and Milan during the 1997 tour behind Visions were recorded for the live album Visions of Europe. The band later filmed its 2011 concert at Pakkahuone in Tampere for Under Flaming Winter Skies, a release connected to drummer Jörg Michael’s farewell tour.
