Sudan Archives in Shibuya City

Sudan Archives is an American violinist, singer, songwriter and producer born Brittney Parks in Cincinnati and based in Los Angeles. Her experimental R&B and art pop place violin beside electronic rhythms and layered vocals. She is known for the albums Athena and Natural Brown Prom Queen, and for songs including “Come Meh Way” and “Selfish Soul.” In 2017, her NPR Music Tiny Desk Concert documented a solo setup built around voice, violin, effects and looping. She later performed at Coachella, followed by an appearance at Glastonbury in 2023.
