Susanna Hoffs is an American singer, guitarist and songwriter, born in Los Angeles in 1959. She co-founded the group that became the Bangles in 1981 and sang lead on “Manic Monday” and “Eternal Flame”; the band is also known for “Walk Like an Egyptian.” Her solo catalogue includes the albums When You’re a Boy, Susanna Hoffs and Someday, as well as the Under the Covers records made with Matthew Sweet.

In 1986, she toured with the Bangles following the release of Different Light, and the group returned to the road for Everything before disbanding in 1989. After reuniting in the late 1990s, the band resumed touring in 2000; she later also performed solo under the billing Susanna Hoffs.
