Sweeping Promises are an American post-punk band built around vocalist and bassist Lira Mondal and guitarist Caufield Schnug. The project began while the pair were living in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and became known for lean, lo-fi recordings shaped by Mondal’s sharp vocal lines. Their albums include Hunger for a Way Out and Good Living Is Coming for You. Sweeping Promises took the songs into clubs across the United States before extending their live work to Britain and continental Europe. The band has also performed at Primavera Sound in Barcelona.
