Syleena Johnson in Oakland

Syleena Johnson is an American R&B and soul singer-songwriter, born in Harvey, Illinois, in 1976. Her catalog includes the albums Chapter 1: Love, Pain & Forgiveness and Chapter 2: The Voice, as well as the songs “I Am Your Woman” and “Guess What.” She also supplied the featured vocal on Kanye West’s “All Falls Down.” At the 2004 MTV Video Music Awards in Miami, Syleena Johnson joined Kanye West to perform “All Falls Down,” taking their studio collaboration to a televised stage. She later brought her solo catalog to festival audiences, including a performance at the Chicago Blues Festival.
