Taake in Amstelveen

Taake is a Norwegian black metal project founded by Hoest in Bergen in 1993, initially under the name Thule. Its early albums Nattestid ser porten vid, Over Bjoergvin graater himmerik and Hordalands doedskvad form a trilogy rooted in Bergen and Norwegian history; later records include Noregs vaapen and Stridens hus. Taake began playing concerts with a live lineup in the 1990s, keeping Hoest on vocals and guitar at the center of the band. The project has since toured Europe and North America as a full band. Taake has returned to Inferno Metal Festival in Oslo more than once and has also performed at Hellfest in Clisson.
