Tab Benoit in Minneapolis

Tab Benoit is an American singer, guitarist and songwriter from Houma, Louisiana, who plays swamp blues and blues rock. His catalog includes the albums Nice and Warm, Fever for the Bayou, Brother to the Blues and Medicine, built around his electric-guitar playing and Southern soul vocals. In 2004, he founded Voice of the Wetlands and became a central performer at the organization’s festival in Houma. The project also put him onstage with the Voice of the Wetlands All-Stars, whose members have included Cyril Neville, Anders Osborne and George Porter Jr. He has toured extensively with a guitar-led trio and performed at the Telluride Blues & Brews Festival and the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival.

Ghalia Volt is a Belgian singer, guitarist and songwriter who plays electric blues, blues rock and roots rock. She recorded with the New Orleans group Mama’s Boys on Let the Demons Out, then worked with musicians from the Mississippi blues scene on Mississippi Blend. Her later releases include One Woman Band and Shout Sister Shout! The 2022 Blues Caravan tour took Ghalia Volt across Europe in a three-artist revue with Katie Henry and Will Jacobs. Her concerts have included full-band performances and a solo setup in which she handles vocals, guitar and percussion, the format captured on One Woman Band.
