Artist
Takao Horiuchi is a Japanese singer-songwriter, born in Osaka in 1949, who co-founded the folk-rock and pop group Alice. He is known for Alice songs including “Fuyu no Inazuma” and “Champion,” and for the solo hit “Kimi no Hitomi wa 10,000 Volt”; his later work also established him as an enka and kayōkyoku singer. His early concert career was closely tied to Alice, whose extensive Japanese touring included performances at Nippon Budokan. In 1981 the group performed in Beijing and gave its final concert before a hiatus at Korakuen Stadium. Horiuchi later returned to the stage with Alice for reunion projects, including the ALICE LIVE ALIVE 2009 tour.
