Takao Kisugi in Bunkyō

Takao Kisugi is a Japanese singer-songwriter and composer, born in Tokyo in 1950 and active as a solo artist since the 1970s. His melodic pop and kayōkyoku catalogue includes “Goodbye Day” and “Yume no Tochū.” He also composed Akina Nakamori’s early songs “Slow Motion” and “Second Love,” and has frequently worked with his lyricist sister Etsuko Kisugi. The recurring Stand Alone concert series has brought his catalogue to concert halls across Japan, including programs billed Acoustic Tracks. His year-end concerts have also appeared under the separate title Christmas Color.
