Tanita Tikaram is a British singer-songwriter, born in Münster in 1969 and raised in Basingstoke. Her music draws on folk, pop and rock, and she is best known for the songs “Twist in My Sobriety” and “Good Tradition” from her debut album, Ancient Heart. In 1988, during the Ancient Heart album cycle, she performed a filmed full-band set built around her early repertoire. Issued on video, the concert documents live versions of both signature songs at the Montreux Jazz Festival.
