Tanxugueiras in Vitoria-Gasteiz

Tanxugueiras are a Spanish folk trio formed in Galicia in 2016 by Aida Tarrío and sisters Olaia and Sabela Maneiro. They sing primarily in Galician, placing three-part vocals and pandeireta percussion within contemporary pop and electronic arrangements. Their best-known works include “Terra” and the albums Contrapunto and Diluvio. A video of their 2017 performance with A Banda das Crechas at Celtic Connections in Glasgow circulated widely online. In 2022, they performed “Terra” at Benidorm Fest, where it won the public vote and finished third overall. The subsequent Diluvio Tour included a year-end concert at Coliseum da Coruña.
