About Tapir!
Tapir! are a British six-piece formed in London, playing chamber folk and folktronica around an illustrated fantasy narrative. The group released its debut album, The Pilgrim, Their God and the King of My Decrepit Mountain, through Heavenly Recordings; “On a Grassy Knoll” and “My God” are among its central songs.
The group played early shows at The Windmill in Brixton, then took the debut album on a UK headline tour in 2024. Their concerts feature the full six-member band and recurring red papier-mâché masks, a visual motif also used for their album artwork and their album-launch performance at the ICA.
