Artists
Tash Sultana is an Australian singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, born in Melbourne in 1995, whose music draws on psychedelic rock, funk, soul and alternative pop. A home-recorded performance video for “Jungle” spread widely online. The Notion EP followed, while the albums Flow State and Terra Firma expanded their catalogue with songs including “Mystik” and “Pretty Lady.” They began performing as a street busker before appearing on NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert in 2017. On the Flow State World Tour, Tash Sultana performed at theatres, festivals and amphitheatres, including Red Rocks Amphitheatre. They later recorded MTV Unplugged, Live in Melbourne at Chapel Off Chapel. Their best-known solo format is built by recording instrumental parts into loop stations during the performance. Guitar, bass, keyboards, percussion, trumpet and voice are layered into complete arrangements onstage. Their festival history includes performances at Coachella and Lollapalooza.
Jeremy Loops is a South African singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Cape Town who plays folk-pop with elements of hip-hop, funk and soul. He became known through the album Trading Change and songs including “Down South” and “Gold,” followed by the records Critical as Water and Heard You Got Love. Jeremy Loops toured Europe as support for Twenty One Pilots, then opened Ed Sheeran’s 2019 stadium concerts in Cape Town and Johannesburg. His headline shows use live looping to layer guitar, harmonica, percussion and vocals around a touring band, a format he has presented at London’s O2 Academy Brixton.
