Artist
Téada is an Irish traditional music group formed in Sligo in 2001 by fiddler Oisín Mac Diarmada. Its repertoire centres on reels, jigs and traditional songs, documented on albums including Téada, Give Us a Penny and Let Us Be Gone, Inné Amárach and Ceol & Cuimhne. Téada have performed at the Edmonton Folk Music Festival in Canada and the Harare International Festival of the Arts in Zimbabwe. The group has also taken its fiddle-led ensemble sound to Malaysia’s Rainforest World Music Festival.
