About Tears For Fears
Tears for Fears are an English pop-rock, new wave and synth-pop band formed in Bath in 1981 by Roland Orzabal and Curt Smith. They are known for the albums The Hurting, Songs from the Big Chair and The Seeds of Love, as well as songs including “Mad World,” “Shout,” “Everybody Wants to Rule the World” and “Head over Heels.”
The Songs from the Big Chair Tour supported the band’s 1985 album across Europe and North America, and in 1990 they performed at Knebworth alongside Pink Floyd, Paul McCartney and Genesis. They later played a co-headlining North American tour with Hall & Oates in 2017. Garbage opened the 2022 Tipping Point World Tour, which returned Tears for Fears to amphitheatres and arenas.
