About Tenacious D

Tenacious D is an American comedy-rock duo formed in Los Angeles by actors and musicians Jack Black and Kyle Gass. Their self-titled debut album includes “Tribute,” “Wonderboy” and “Fuck Her Gently,” while the film and album The Pick of Destiny expanded the duo’s mix of hard rock and comedy.

A 2002 concert at Brixton Academy was filmed for The Complete Master Works, documenting Black on vocals and acoustic guitar and Gass on acoustic guitar and vocals, supported by a touring rock band. The Rize of the Fenix Tour followed in 2012, and the duo later mounted the Post-Apocalypto Tour and the Spicy Meatball Tour.

They have repeatedly played the United States and the United Kingdom, and their German festival appearances have included Rock am Ring and Rock im Park.
