Terri Lyne Carrington in Madison

Terri Lyne Carrington is an American jazz drummer, composer, producer and bandleader, born in Medford, Massachusetts, in 1965. Her work ranges across post-bop, jazz fusion and vocal jazz; key albums include the Grammy-winning The Mosaic Project and Money Jungle: Provocative in Blue, as well as New Standards Vol. 1. At age ten, Terri Lyne Carrington gave an early major performance at the Wichita Jazz Festival with Clark Terry. She later toured with Stan Getz and Wayne Shorter, then played drums with Herbie Hancock on the Future 2 Future project and its concert dates.
