Texas Hippie Coalition is an American heavy metal band formed in Denison, Texas, in 2004. Led by vocalist Big Dad Ritch, the group plays groove-heavy Southern metal that it calls “red dirt metal.” Its best-known releases include the albums Peacemaker and Ride On, and songs such as “Turn It Up” and “Pissed Off and Mad About It.” Texas Hippie Coalition has performed at Rocklahoma in Pryor, Oklahoma, as part of a live history centered on American rock clubs and festivals. The band has also toured in support of Black Label Society.
