About The Academic
The Academic are an Irish indie-rock band formed in Mullingar in 2013. Their guitar-led songs include “Bear Claws,” “Different” and “Aftertaste,” while their albums include Tales from the Backseat and Sitting Pretty.
In 2018, they opened for The Rolling Stones at Croke Park during the No Filter Tour. The following year, they returned to Dublin for their own outdoor headline concert at Iveagh Gardens.
