The Airborne Toxic Event is an American indie-rock band formed in Los Angeles in 2006 by singer and songwriter Mikel Jollett. The band became known through “Sometime Around Midnight” and its self-titled debut album, followed by records including All at Once and Such Hot Blood. The band performed at Coachella and Lollapalooza in 2009, then staged a concert at Walt Disney Concert Hall that was documented on the live release All I Ever Wanted. They later opened selected North American dates of U2’s 360° Tour in 2011.
