About The Altered Hours
The Altered Hours are an Irish psychedelic rock band formed in Cork, centred on songwriters Cathal MacGabhann and Elaine Howley. Their records include the EP Downstream, the debut album In Heat Not Sorry and its follow-up Convertible, moving between distorted guitars, repetition and shoegaze textures.
The Altered Hours toured clubs across Ireland, the UK and continental Europe, and appeared at Liverpool International Festival of Psychedelia and Eindhoven Psych Lab. They also performed in support of The Brian Jonestown Massacre, linking their club tours to the wider psychedelic-rock circuit around that band.
