The Ballroom Thieves in Portland

The Ballroom Thieves are an American folk-rock group formed in New England in 2010. The music centers on Martin Earley and Calin Peters, whose shared vocals, guitar and cello shape songs such as “Bees” and “Only Lonely.” Their albums include A Wolf in the Doorway, Deadeye, Unlovely and Clouds. The Ballroom Thieves developed their live work through club and theatre tours around the United States before performing at Newport Folk Festival. Their concerts have featured Earley on guitar and Peters on cello or bass, with both musicians taking vocal parts, and that duo format also reached Calgary Folk Music Festival.
