The Baseballs in Bannewitz

The Baseballs are a German rock-and-roll group formed in Berlin in 2007. They became known for recasting contemporary pop songs in a 1950s rockabilly style; their debut album, Strike!, included versions of “Umbrella,” “Hot n Cold” and “Bleeding Love.” In 2010, The Baseballs performed at Wacken Open Air, taking those vintage-style arrangements to a metal-festival audience. Touring around Strings ’n’ Stripes was documented on the concert release Strings ’n’ Stripes Live, which captured the full-band format built around singers Sam, Digger and Basti.
