The Bawdies in Takamatsu

The Bawdies are a Japanese rock band formed in Tokyo in 2004. Their music draws on early rock and roll, rhythm and blues and garage rock, led by Roy’s deep, rough-edged vocals. The album This Is My Story introduced their major-label work, followed by songs including “It’s Too Late,” “Hot Dog” and “Just Be Cool.” The Bawdies staged a headline concert at Nippon Budokan and later brought their four-piece set to Yokohama Arena. They also toured clubs and halls across Japan and performed at Fuji Rock Festival.
