The Blackheart Orchestra in Worthing

The Blackheart Orchestra is a British duo comprising vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Chrissy Mostyn and multi-instrumentalist Rick Pilkington. Their music draws on progressive rock, chamber pop, ambient folk and electronic textures, heard on albums including Diving for Roses, Mesmeranto and Hotel Utopia. In 2019, the duo joined Hawkwind’s 50th Anniversary Tour, which included a concert at London’s Royal Albert Hall. At their own shows, Chrissy Mostyn and Rick Pilkington move among keyboards, guitars, bass and percussion, using loops to construct the arrangements as a two-person ensemble.
