The Blasting Company in Somerville

The Blasting Company is an American ensemble and composing collective based in Los Angeles. The group is best known for the folk, jazz and old-time music written for Patrick McHale’s animated miniseries Over the Garden Wall, including “Into the Unknown,” “Potatoes and Molasses” and “Old Black Train.” The Blasting Company has presented that score in concert as an ensemble, combining its songs with instrumental passages from the miniseries. These performances center the group’s live repertoire on Over the Garden Wall.
