Blue Dogs are an American roots-rock band formed in Charleston, South Carolina, in 1987 by singer-guitarist Bobby Houck and bassist Hank Futch. Their music draws on Southern rock, country and Americana, and their catalog includes the songs “Walter” and “Isabelle” and the albums Letters from Round O and Halos and Good Buys. Live at the Florence Little Theatre documented the band in a theatre setting, while Live at WorkPlay captured another full-band performance in Birmingham. Blue Dogs later marked their 25th anniversary with a reunion concert at Charleston Music Hall.
