The Butcher Sisters & Mambo Kurt in Mannheim

Mambo Kurt is the stage name of German musician and physician Rainer Limpinsel. He is known for singing rock and pop covers to arrangements played on a vintage home organ, recasting songs by acts including AC/DC, Rammstein and Nirvana. His albums include The Return of Alleinunterhalter and Back in Beige. In 1997, Rodrigo González encountered his act in a Hamburg bar, leading to support appearances for Die Ärzte. Mambo Kurt later brought the same solo format to metal festivals, singing while accompanying himself on the organ. He first performed at Wacken Open Air in 2004 and returned repeatedly to the festival.
