Artist
The Buttertones are an American rock band formed in Los Angeles in 2012. Their music draws on surf rock, garage rock and post-punk, and many recordings feature reverb-heavy guitar and saxophone. They are known for the albums Gravedigging and Midnight in a Moonless Dream, as well as songs including “Orpheus Under the Influence,” “Matador” and “Dionysus.” The Buttertones performed at Coachella in 2017, the same year Gravedigging was released. The band later took its full-band show to clubs in London and Mexico City.
