The Chats in Margaret River

The Chats are an Australian punk-rock trio formed on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast in 2016. Their fast, blunt garage punk found a broad audience through the video for “Smoko”; the albums High Risk Behaviour and Get Fucked also include “Pub Feed,” “Identity Theft” and “6L GTR.” The Chats opened for Queens of the Stone Age on an Australian tour in 2018 and later mounted their own headline runs in North America and Europe. In 2022, they performed at Coachella and Reading and Leeds before taking Get Fucked on further international headline dates. In Britain, the band’s headline shows have included large standing-room venues. They have headlined London’s O2 Academy Brixton and Manchester Academy.
